A Red Envelope is a monetary gift that can be sent to your friend’s or family member’s East West Bank account on holidays or special occasions. You can send your money with a customized message and theme. There is no fee for sending a Red Envelope, and the delivery timing is the same as Internal Transfer. Once a Red Envelope has been successfully sent, it cannot be cancelled or rejected. The recipient will get the money instantaneously. ​

If you want to send a Red Envelope, tap Move Money       on the navigation bar at the bottom of the Dashboard. Then tap Transfer > Send to > Create a new recipient  > East West Bank account or an existing East West Bank recipient, and then choose Send as a Red Envelope. After that, follow the instructions to fill out information and create an envelope with your desired color and message.
