Currently, the transfer purposes supported by the Alipay Transfer Service are Home Remittance and Salary. ​

Home Remittance allows you to send money to your relatives in mainland China. Documents evidencing this transfer purpose include proof of family relationship (e.g., birth certificate, notarization of kinship) and proof of income (e.g., pay stub, bank statements, tax return, or wage and tax statement). Salary is your income earned from working outside of mainland China under an employment contract. Documents evidencing this transfer purpose include employment agreement and proof of income (e.g., pay stub, bank statements, tax return, or wage and tax statement). East West Bank  reserves the right to ask you to provide supporting documentation in order to verify and support your stated “Purpose of Transfer” before or after completion of the transfer.
